Career Readiness™ – For Students Preparing for the World of Work

schedule14/09/2026

Post-secondary education is not only about gaining knowledge and completing a qualification. It is also a time for students to clarify where they want to go professionally and what they need to do now to be ready for the world of work.

Career Readiness™ helps students connect their understanding of themselves and their current field of study with potential career directions; recognize their existing capabilities and development gaps; identify experiences they need to gain; and build a practical plan for entering the world of work.

Students will gradually learn to:

  • Better understand their strengths, motivations, and what matters to them in their career choices.
  • Identify career directions and potential job roles worth exploring further.
  • Connect their current field of study and capabilities with the requirements of potential career paths.
  • Identify capabilities and development gaps they need to address.
  • Determine practical experiences they need to gain to explore and validate career directions.
  • Proactively prepare the capabilities, experiences, and professional profile needed to enter the world of work.
  • Build an action plan for the transition from education to professional life.
