Career Directions™ – For High School Students

High school is when decisions about careers, majors and universities begin to become more concrete. What matters is not making a quick choice, but having a stronger foundation for making an informed one.

Career Directions™ helps students connect their understanding of themselves with career directions, fields of study and university choices, while identifying what they still need to explore, experience and validate before making important decisions.

Students will gradually learn to:

• Better understand their interests, strengths, and what matters to them when considering future careers.
• Identify career directions worth prioritizing for further exploration and validation.
• Connect career directions with relevant fields of study to explore further.
• Understand the connections between fields of study, admission pathways, and university choices.
• Identify capabilities and experiences they need to continue developing.
• Recognize what remains uncertain and determine how to test their assumptions before making decisions.
• Build a practical plan for learning, experiences, and preparation for the choices ahead.
